Our Story

We didn't set out to sell sarees.
We set out to save stories.

Somewhere in the lanes of Chanderi, a weaver's hands move with muscle memory passed down through generations. In the village of Bhujodi, a woman feeds thread through a pit loom the way her grandmother once taught her. Across the banks of the Bhagirathi, master craftsmen still practise the whisper-thin magic of Jamdani.

Wefta was born from a single, urgent question: what happens when these crafts disappear? Founded in 2024 by Ms. Neha Singh, Wefta is a carefully curated platform that brings India's most extraordinary handloom textiles — directly from the artisan's loom to your wardrobe.

Our Craft Traditions

Every piece in our collection is a living archive of technique — Ajrakh block prints stamped by hand under the open sky of Kutch, Kalamkari drawn with a bamboo pen dipped in natural dye, Paithani looms that take weeks to produce a single border. When you wear a Wefta piece, you carry centuries of history on your shoulders.

A beautifully curated collection of authentic handloom textiles that goes far beyond just one region or product category. From Ajrakh, Jamdani, Maheshwari to Bagru prints and more, the range truly reflects the diversity of Indian craft traditions. Something that we found only in boutiques for a much steeper price till now.
